Top Snow Conditions At Stowe, Franconia

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

For those whose exams are comfortably behind them the best skiing in New England is at Stowe and Franconia. While Stowe's Mt. Mansfield is only fair, Spruce Peak was reported "good to excellent" last night.

At Franconia, the upper slope of Cannon Mountain was reported "fair to poor," while the lower slopes were in excellent condition. Franconia's Mitterstill is good to excellent.

Throughout most of the rest of New England ski conditions have left much to be desired. Middlebury Snow Bow and Mad River Glen are both rated as "fair to poor."
