The University Printing Office is making substantial savings this year by printing many of the mid-year exams by photo-offset rather than letter press, Sargent Kennedy '28, Registrar, said yesterday. All the exams which have "clean copy" when handed to the printer are reproduced photographically, instead of setting them up in type and printing them on the familiar small, manila sheets, he explained.
