The National Football League ignored the Crimson and most Ivy League teams in their draft of college seniors. Earlier this week of the 360 chosen, only three were from teams that faced the Crimson: Phil Tarasovic of Yale, choice 101, Bill DeGraaf of Cornell, choice 324, and Royce Flippin of Princeton, pick 334. Bill Meigs commented that while he was not called, he had received a long questionnaire this fall but had shown no great enthusiasm for it. He believed that his light weight had contributed to his neglect by the pros.
