William S. Flash '48, assistant professor of Government at Bowdoin College, will become lecturer on Public Administration at the School of Public Health, effective Feb. 1, John C. Snyder, dean of the Faculty of Public Health, has announced.

The appointment "is a further step in the School of Public Health's program to provide students with greater understanding of the administrative principles on which sound public health practice is built," Snyder said.

Flash received a degree of Master of Public Administration here in 1950 and a Ph.D. in 1954. He was first appointed to the Bowdoin faculty in 1952.
