The College is one of 32 New England educational institutions which will share $1,067,900 in grants from the Esso Educational Foundation during the 1955-56 academic year.
Twenty-seven New England colleges, including Radcliffe, received unrestricted gifts. A research grant and a miscellaneous fund for stipulated purposes were awarded to the University.
The Foundation, recently organized by Standard Oil Company (New Jersey) and affiliated companies, divided the funds between 226 colleges, universities and research groups.
The amounts of individual allocations were not made public.
