UMass' strengthened Redmen recorded a decisive first game win yesterday over a weak American International College team by a score of 27 to 13. Tom Whalen, quarterback, and Hal Bowers, halfback, amassed all of the Redmen's touchdowns with steady drives throughout all of the game's four periods.
