In an effort to bolster ticket sales, the Jubilee Committee has induced a small group to give up plans for a private excursion on the Charles which would have conflicted with the informal dance scheduled for Friday night.
Peter B. Barlow '58 and Robert D. Storey '58, leaders of the group, refused to comment on why they had cancelled the excursion, but one member of the group explained that the planners had decided to cancel the trip to avoid "ill feelings" after pressure from the Jubilee Committee.
For the Jubilee weekend, C. Crane Brinton '19, McLean Professor of Ancient and Modern History, announced an extension for Social Science 1 papers, and other professors have prepared special lectures for the Yardlings and their dates on Saturday.
