A sound pitching performance and timely hitting helped the freshman baseball team to a win over Tufts, 4 to 2, yesterday at Medford.

The Yardlings went ahead in the seventh inning, when first baseman Frank Saia tripled with two men on base to tie the score at 2 to 2. Saia then scored on shortstop Tom Bergantino's squeeze bunt.

Lefthander Don Hoffman went all the way for the winners for his second victory.
