Harris Elected 1955-1956 Tennis Captain; Siler Succeeds Rittenburg as Track Leader

Tennis and track lettermen yesterday elected two athletes from opposite ends of the country to captain their respective squads for past season.

A Brooks Harris '54 of Kirkland House and Quincy Mass succeeds Alex Haegler as tennis captain and Arthur G. Siler '56 of Winthrop House and Orinds, Calif., replaces Bob Rittenburg as track leader.

Harris who has played two seasons with the varsity, ranks number four on the team ladder. Last summer he toured England with two other Crimson tennis players, competing in British tournaments. He graduated from Milton Academy, where he played number one.

Shot-putter Siler placed second in the Heptagonals two weeks ago. in that meet he also took a first place in the discus throw, defeating Yale's Stew Thomson. Against the Blue a week later, Siler set a personal discus record, but lost to the burly Eli.
