Yardlings Elect Junta To Lead Tennis Team

Dale W. Junta of San Leandro, California and Grays Hall was recently elected captain of the undefeated freshman tennis team. The freshmen have won seven straight and will meet a strong Yale squad at 1:30 p.m. on the Soldiers Field courts tomorrow.

Junta is undefeated in his matches this season and was captain of his squad at Mercersburg Academy. He was 1954 Junior Hardcourts Champion, 1952 Junior Hardcourts Doubles Champion, and California Boys State Champion in 1949, 1950, and 1951. In 1953, he reached the finals of the Junior National Doubles Championships and in 1952 Junta was runner-up in the National Boys Singles.
