Goalie John Ogden made 18 saves yesterday afternoon in the varsity lacrosse game as the Crimson defeated Trinity College, 14 to 6.
If the varsity has played a non-Dexter Lewis game this year, yesterday was it. Eight men tallied, in the most even Crimson attack of the year, showing that the squad is developing the coordination it has lacked. It was definitely not a one-man team that won yesterday, as it has been during the season.
The excellent goal-tending and improved coordination alone gave the squad an almost professional appearance. Stick-handling was little better than average, however, for the Crimson.
Tufts bowed to a strong Yardling squad yesterday at Medford, 11 to 8. Mike Shaw of the midfield and Mike Smith, attack, led the scoring with three points apiece. The game was tied in the middle of the fourth period, 8 to 8, until the Yardlings made a powerful drive to tally three times in the final few minutes of the contest.
