Fresh from a 6-1 trouncing of Williams, the varsity golf team will meet Holy Cross and the University of Massachusetts today in a triangular meet at Amherst Mass. The golfers will then play a dual match with Amherst on Saturday.
Coach Josh Williams knows little about his opponents, but expects a lot of trouble from Holy Cross, which usually fields a strong team. Captain Cooney's younger brother, an excellent golfer himself, is currently playing number seven on the Crusader team.
The Crimson line-up will be changed slightly on the basis of the Williams match. Cooney will again lead off in the first position, but Brock Stokes will replace Jim Bailey in the number two slot. The remaining positions will include Bailey, Roger Fleischmann, Jim Jones, Bob Ornsteen, and Bruce Thurmond, with Ornsteen definitely moving up from number six.
