The freshman baseball team defeated Exeter Saturday afternoon at Soldiers Field by a score of 19 to 4.

The Yardlings collected 19 hits, including a three run triple by Bob Cleary in the third inning and a three run homer by Tom Bergantino in the fourth. Pitcer Don Hoffman had a one hitter going until the seventh inning and gave up only four hits before he was relieved in the ninth.
