Sailing Team Enters Sharpe Competition

The Crimson sailing team will meet six colleges tomorrow in competition for the Lucian Sharpe Trophy. The sailors also meet M.I.T. today, and Babson tomorrow in dual meets.

Six Crimson boats will meet the favored Engineers at 12:30 p.m. Earlier this year, the sailors defeated M.I.T. in the informal "Hot Mugg" race, but an improved group of skippers may be able to reverse the outcome in the second clash between the two teams.

On Sunday, the sailors will send two boats to Providence, R. I., to compete for the Sharpe Trophy with entrants from M.I.T., Brown, the University of Rhode Island, Princeton, Dartmouth, and the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.

Crimson skippers for this meet are Hoppin and Arddie Clossen.

The other Crimson race will be at 9 p.m. Sunday, when two boats skippered by Langworthy and Cronin will race Babson in another dual meet.
