C. Harold Berry, Gordon McKay Professor of Mechanical Engineering and an authority in the field of heat engineering, will retire at the end of the term.
A Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, he was appointed recently to a committee which advises the United States Bureau of Standards on thermodynamics.
Berry joined the faculty in 1928 and has since been a frequent contributor to various technical publications. He wrote a small book, "Flow and Fan," dealing with ventilation, in 1954.
