Culbert Wins Bout In Wrestling Meet

Crimson wrestling captain Ken Culbert defeated Elwood Reese of Lockhaven State Teachers College yesterday afternoon to enter the quarter finals in the National Collegiate Wrestling Championships at Cornell.

Culbert, wrestling out of his usual 177 weight division at 191, pinned his opponent in only 2:21. In the quarter finals he will meet Dick Anthony of Indiana University, runner-up in the Big Ten wrestling tournament.

Also in the preliminaries, Captain elect Phil Burnaman lost to Arthur Keith of Oregon State when he was pinned in 8:31. Lone Eli entrant Arthur Theriault was decisioned, 12 to 2, in his first round match.
