Varsity Rifle Squad Places Fifth in Intercollegiate Meet

The varsity rifle team scored 1370 points to place fifth in the team matches of the National Intercollegiate regional finals at Boston University Saturday afternoon.

The University of New Hampshire edged Yale 1403 to 1401 to win first place honors. Third place went to M.I.T. who defeated coast Guard Academy, 1399 to 1399, in a duel for third place.

Crimson captain John Ressel fired a 284 to place sidth in the close individual matches, which Bried of M.I.T. won by a score of 289. John Liebeskind, who shot a 250, was the varsity's second best marksman. John Leness was third high scorer with 278.
