Hobson Asks for Rules Changes

Yale's veteran basketball coach, Howard Hobson, yesterday advocated a radical revision in the colleges' basketball rules. Speaking before the National Association of Coaches in Kansas City, Hobson said the colleges should follow "public-pleasing" pro rules in 1956.

"The pros have a better game, aimed at pleasing the public," Hobson said. "Colleges also attempt to give the customers a satisfactory game, so why not follow the pros?"
