Charles B. Flynn '56, of Winthrop House and Milton, Mass., will succeed Scott Cooledge as captain of the hockey team.

Flynn's election was announced at the hockey team's dinner last night. Bill Cleary was named most valuable player for the Crimson and in New England and Ned Almy was honored as most improved player.

Flynn was goalie of the freshman team in 1953, and has played that position on the varsity for the past two years.

In the 1954 Christmas Boston Invitational Tournament, he was selected most valuable player, and named to the alltourney team last year. Flynn was also elected to the all-star team at the Boston Bean Pot tournament.

This year he was chosen all New England goalie, and was recently selected All American goalie by Colorado newspapers. He had 84 saves in two games of the NCAA tournament.
