Richard L. Dodds '56 of Kirkland House and Binghamton, N.Y., was elected president of the Student Council in a special Council election meeting last night.
Dodds defeated James G. Hatcher, Jr. '56, present Council secretary, and Bradley W. Stark '56. The election was called to fill the vacancy left by former president John R. Green '56, who resigned last week.
At the same meeting, the Council approved the constitution of the Harvard Motor Sports Enthusiasts.
The Motor Enthusiasts, headed by Ira J. Rimson '56, is an organization of students who are interested in sports cars, but do not desire to participate in national sports car events.
