The Crimson track team, led by sophomore hurdler Joel Cohen, finished a strong second in the New England AAU indoor championships at Providence last night. Cohen flashed to a new Cranston Armory 50-yard hurdle record of 6.6 seconds as the varsity scored 33 1/2 points, a scant one point behind meet winner Northeastern.

Versatile Captain Bob Rittenburg took first place in the high jump with a 6'1" leap, and captured a second in both the hop step and jump and the 50-yard low hurdles.

Other members of the Crimson placing in the annual meet were Ed Carter, who gained a fourth place in the 50-yard dash, and Zabriski Warren, who figured in a three-way tie for fourth in the high jump.

In the mile relay, two Crimson teams scored as the surprising B squad won with a time of 3:40.8.
