Tiger Clings to White Bucks, Symbol of the Princeton Man

The white buck is still the number-one shoe on the Tiger campus, outselling other shoes, 20 to 1, in the University Store, the Dally Princetonian reported yesterday.

Except for a few years prior of 1930 when black and white saddle-shoes were the fad, Princeton undergraduates have attempted to immortalize the white buck, Since 1918, it has become a symbol of the average Princeton student, the Princetonian said.
