NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

President Pusey issued the following statement last night in relation to the Graduate School of Education's new program to increase the number of teachers in the Massachusetts area:

"I am deeply interested and hopeful it will succeed in interesting more graduates of liberal arts colleges in going into teaching and show the excellence of the contribution that liberal arts graduates can make as teachers.

"It has been encouraging to me to see presidents of Massachusetts colleges and superintendents of school systems of this area working together to find a solution to a difficult problem."
