NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

To the Editors of the CRIMSON:

After a lapse of many years I decided to subscribe to the CRIMSON and I wish to report my disappointment. You may be surprised to know that what disturbs me most is the completely inadequate coverage of University athletic events. The records of these events are very easily obtained and require no editing. It so happens that I am particularly interested in the freshman teams as I have a grandson who is an athlete. The CRIMSON gives virtually nothing, being less complete than the Boston newspapers which are bad enough. My impression is that the CRIMSON is too ambitious and is not satisfied to do a god news reporting job on College and University matters. Accurate and complete reporting of local agents is the foundation of all good journalism from the New York Times down. Raiph Barton Perry, Professor of Philosophy
