The varsity squash team seeks its third straight victory of the year this afternoon against McGill University.
The McGill team is an unknown quantity to Coach Jack Barnaby, but he observed yesterday that they have never beaten the Crimson. Barnaby added, however, that the varsity has not played McGill for two years and that squash is the most rapidly improving sport in Canada.
At Yale yesterday afternoon, McGill lost to the Eli, 7 to 2. The only Yale losses came at the first two positions, where McGill's Tony LaFleur and Tim Wagg won in five close games. The Canadian team would appear strong at the top two or three positions, but does not maintain a balance down the rest of the ladder.
The Crimson should be a solid favorite to win, as its Big Three of Ben Heckscher, Captain Pete Milton, and Cal Place has shown well in tough competition with Navy. The lower-ranked men have also shown good depth in their past two wins over Navy and Wesleyan.
