Ivy League Teams Plan Point System

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Standings for all sports in the new round-robin Ivy League will be determined on a point basis rather than by percentage of wins and losses, Thomas D. Bolles, Chairman of the League's Administrative Committee, announced yesterday.

The new system will give two points for a win and one for a tie. Long used by the Ivy Hockey League, the Soccer League adopted it for the first time this year. The new move will extend the system to football, basketball, fencing, lacrosse, squash, and wrestling.

Postponed games affecting League championships will be rescheduled.
