There has been no official announcement yet of the new President of Tufts College who will replace retiring Leonard Carmichael. The CRIMSON said Thursday that William G. Saltonstall, now head of Exeter, had been chosen to fill the spot, but the Tufts overseers have not met to make any appointment yet. The CRIMSON'S story was based on a report that Robert Saltonstall, brother of the Exeter chief, would take over the post, and a misunderstanding resulted in the error.
