PBH Blood Pledges Drop 700 This Year

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Pledges in the PBH fall blood drive fell 700 short of last March's totals, Peter K. Gunness '57, co-chairman of the Drives Committee, said last night. College totals were 1573 pints, in contrast to more than 2200 pledged in the last drive.

Gunness found this year's results particularly disappointing because past experience has shown that up to 50 percent of blood pledged cannot be collected. Many parents refuse to sign release slips, and some students "just don't show up."
