The Young Republican Club announced yesterday it would not change its plans to hold a mock session of Congress instead of a GOP Convention next spring until Eisenhower officially states he will not be a candidate for office again.
John R. Thomson '57, HRYC President, said that Senator Knowland of California and Senator Morse of Oregon have tentatively agreed to preside at the mock Congress.
Thomson added, however that all arrangements can be changed if necessary.
In the event Ike does not seek reelection, the HYRC official said the Republicans' list of possible nomination candidates will include Vice President Nixon, Senator Knowland, Chief Justice Warren, Governor William Stratton of Ill., Senator James Duff of Penn., Governor Theodore McKeldon of Md., and Governor Christian Herter '15 of Mass.
