One of the College's oldest alumni, Charles H. Foster '81, who died on Sept. 22, at the age of 95, named the University as the ultimate inheritor of his estate, it was learned yesterday. He was the last living member of his class.
An outstanding athlete in his college days, Foster led the alumni procession at last June's graduation. He was also the oldest resident of Marble-head, Mass.
The four oldest living alumni are Milton M. Marble of the Class of 1889 who is 100 years old; Charles C. Burlingham of the Class of 1879 who is 97; William H. White of the Class of 1880 who is 97; and William W. Kent of the Class of 1882 who is 95.
Marble is from Detroit; Burlingham from New York; White from Boston; and Kent from New York.
