As the freshman intramural touch football season approaches the half-way mark, Matthews South dominates the American League with a 3-0 record, while Holworthy leads in the National loop with two wins and one tie.

Grays (2-0) and Mower (2-1) round out the top three squads in the American race; Wigglesworth East (3-1) and Matthews North (2-0-1) follow Holworthy in the National.

Lionel (1-1), Thayer North (1-1), Wigglesworth West (1-1), Straus North (1-2), Thayer Middle (1-2), Weld South (1-3), and Dudley (0-2) comprise the remainder of the American League.

Thayer South (1-1-1), Hollis (1-1-1) Straus South (1-1), Weld North (1-3), Massachusetts (0-3), and Stoughton (0-3) trail the National leaders.

Championship Match

Winners in each league will meet November 15 for the touch football title. Next on the agenda for freshman intramural athletics is the cross country meet, November 17, after which basketball takes over.

Rodger J. Winn '59, of the Freshman Intramural Athletic Council, announced last night that the council has established as its goal the participation of 800 different freshmen in the intramural program throughout the year. This figure would exceed last year's mark.
