Sailors Win One, Lose Hoyt Meet

The sailing team won a four-way meet Saturday, but could only tie for fifth place with M.I.T. at the heptagonal C. Sherman Hoyt Trophy races at Providence Sunday.

The trophy meet provided the sailors their first encounter with the Yale squad, which finished ahead of them in fourth place. Although the Crimson's Pete Chermayeff skippered his boat to the second spot in the "A" division, the team's overall score pulled them down to the fifth position.

In Saturday's contest, also at Providence, the team defeated Boston College, Middlebury, and Trinity.
