Freshmen, J.V.'s Fail to Score on Hanover Elevens

In the opening contest for all four teams, the Crimson freshman and JV football squads met their Dartmouth counterparts yesterday and lost both games, 20 to 0 and 19 to 0 respectively.

Neither Crimson team was able to stop Dartmouth's V-formation offense on Hanover's muddy fields. The visiting freshmen did somewhat better than the JV and launched a long drive in the first half, which bogged down inside the Dartmouth 30-yard line. Thereafter, Dartmouth dominated the game.

In the JV game, Dartmouth made all its scores on clever running and tricky, well executed plays against the more inexperienced Crimson JV's.

The V-formation used by both the Dartmouth teams is the same as the varsity Green will try against the Cantabs this afternoon.
