'59 Scrimmages Varsity Eleven

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

For the third successive day, units of the varsity football team scrimmaged against the freshmen yesterday in a practice session that continued under lights until well after dark.

Ted Metropoulos was still sidelined with a bad leg, and will probably not see action Saturday, according to Coach Lloyd Jordan. Even if his leg does improve, Jordan said "he will not have scrimmaged for two weeks."

Yesterday's session concentrated on offense, but defense--especially pass defense--will be a key factor in determining the varsity's chances on Saturday against what Jordan called "a team that has shown it can score."
