David B. Cole '55 became the conservative without a club yesterday when the New Conservatives announced they would not accept him in their group.
Cole, ousted Tuesday from the presidency of the Conservative League by his own executive board, resigned from the League. He said then he would like to become a member of the new group.
William C. Brady '55, temporary president of the New Conservatives, said that Cole would have to be thoroughly investigated. "We would have to be convinced," Brady said, "that Cole has completely disavowed McCarthyism and that he would sincerely adhere to the principles of our club."
