Fredrickson to Head New Debate Council

George M. Fredrickson '56, of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Lowell House, was elected president of the Debate Council Wednesday night. Robert M. O'Neil '54, of Cambridge and Winthrop House, will be the new vice-present.

The Council is planning a joint debate tournament with Wellesley in early March on the national topic, "Resolved: That the United States should extend diplomatic recognition to the Communist government of China."
