The varsity squash team opened its 1955 season in Homenway Gym with a one-sided, 9-0, victory over Dartmouth Saturday. The Crimson has yet to bow to the Big Green.
Sophomore and number one man Ben Hockscher scored a 3-0 victory over the Green's Andy Hamilton. Other winners by 3-0 scores were Captain Bill Wister, number 3, Cal Place, number 5, Bats Wheeler, 6th man, Pete Milton, 7th, and Roger Cortesi, number 9. The 2nd and 4th matches were close with Guy Paschal and Paul Brown winning for the Cirmson after each had dropped two games. Mart Hockscher lost one game in his 8th position victory. Dartmouth managed to win only 5 games in all.
The freshman squad, without the services of its 1st, 2nd, and 4th men, Captain Kon McIntosh, Larry Sears, and Albi Zimmerman, beat the Darthmouth freshmen, 3-2. Robin Magowan, George Leness, and Joel Reynolds posted the Crimson victories.
