The majority of the 92 men who have signed up for freshman football reported at Soldiers Field yesterday afternoon for Coach Bob Margarita's first practice session. Assisting Margarita with this group are coaches Charlie Law, John Nichols, Richard Sprague, and John Driscoll.

It will be their task to ready the Yardlings for their opening game against Dartmouth in Cambridge on Friday, Oct. 22. The Crimson freshmen were originally scheduled to open their season here against Worcoster Academy on Oct. 9, but this game has been postponed. It is still possible that the Department of Athletics and freshman coaching staff will be able to line up an earlier contest than the one with Dartmouth.
