Fairbank Misquoted

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Fairbank '29 said that he advocated recognition of Red china in 1940 and he "still thought it was a good idea," he was referring to recognition in 1949 and not 1954, the Far Eastern expert explained yesterday.
