The varsity golf team plays its last scheduled home match of the season this afternoon when it meets Holy Cross on the Dedham Country Club course at 2 p.m.
Rain forced the cancellation of yesterday's meet against M.I.T., but the match will probably be rescheduled for late next week.
In this afternoon's meet--the final one before Saturday's Eastern Intercollegiate Championships at Hanover--Coach Josh Williams will start his regular lineup against the Crusaders. Ted Cooney will play number one with Bill McAllister, Jim Jones, Bruce Thurmond, Captain Jack Brophy, Doug Boyd, and Pete Malkin following in that order.
Holy Cross is expected to offer the varsity little opposition. The Crusaders lost to Brown, but the varsity trounced Brown, 6 to 1. Although H.C. lost to Brown, the team has an outstanding local golfer in junior Johnny Tosca, playing at the number one spot.
