Official Tabulation Confirms Dunster as Trophy Winner

Director of Intramural Athletics Adolph W. Samberski '25 confirmed Dunster's second straight Straus Trophy victory with the release of the final official House standings yesterday.

The Funsters finished second in the spring totals, but with their substantial lead built up during the fall and winter, led second place Eliot by an even 100 points in the full-year totals 1,486 1/2 1,386 1/2.

The final Straus standings are as follows: 1. Dunster 1,486 1/2; 2. Eliot 1,386 1/2; 3. Winthrop 1,377; 4. Kirkland 1,351; 5. Adams 1,229; 6. Lowell 1,226; 7. Leverett 1,157 1/2; 8. Dudley 1,011 1/2.

Eliot, fourth behind Winthrop and Kirkland at the conclusion of winter competition, compiled a total of 577 1/2 points this spring to jump into the second position. The Elephants took first places in golf, single shells, and crew, and third in baseball and tennis.

Dunster had only one first place for the spring, in tract, but had second places in softball, baseball, golf, and single shells to make up a total of 530 points.

Deacons Third for Spring

Kirkland was third for the spring with 505, Adams fourth with 497 1/2, Winthrop fifth with 486 1/2, Lowell sixth with 467 1/2, Leverett seventh with 450, and Dudley last with 335.
