Dunster House has clinched its second consecutive House athletic championship, unofficial standings revealed yesterday.

The winners will celebrate their victory and retention of the Straus Trophy tonight at a smoker given by Housemaster Gordon M. Fair.

The Funsters hold a 77-point lead over second-place Eliot going into the final event of the House sports schedule, the track meet, to be held today at 3 p.m. after postponement from last Friday.

Further official pre-track meet standings put Winthrop in third place and Kirkland in fourth. The other positions will not be officially determined until after today's meet.

Although Dunster collected no first places in spring sports, it did register second place finishes in three: golf and rowing behind Eliot, and softball, behind Winthrop.

James J. Wade '54, Dunster athletic secretary, credited the Houses' sweep of A, B, and C squash titles and the resulting 185 points, wioth providing the necessary lead. Dunster's only other first came in B basketball.
