A determined Crimson rugby team finished its season with a 6-4 record by defeating M.I.T, 6 to 3, in a very tight contest Saturday.
Scoring in the first quarter, Jorgo Hardoy tallied by dashing across the Engineers' goal line, dragging several Tech players with him. Bill Frate missed the conversion from a wide angle, but the Crimson led, 3 to 0, until ten minutes remained in the last half.
Then M.I.T. staged a long, sustained drive that culminated in a successful game-locking score, but were unable to convert.
Less than a minute later, the varsity scored the deciding goal. Joe Conzelman, varsity football quarterback, intercepted an M.I.T. lateral and raced through the whole Tech team for the decisive tally.
