After beating Columbia, 7 to 2, Friday, the varsity tennis team will take on underdog Brown at 3:45 p.m. today on the Soldiers Field courts. Saturday's match with Pennsylvania was postponed indefinitely because of rain.
The win against the Lions--the Crimson's third league victory against one tie and no defeats--saw the varsity sweep the singles. Ham Gravem, Brooks Harris, John Rauh, Alex Haegler, Gene Mann, and Donn Spencer were the victors. Gravem, Harris, and Haegler had to go three sets for their victories, however.
Mann and Conrad Fischer won the first doubles, but the Dan Mayers-Maynard Canfield and Frank Goodman-Doug Manchester combinations went down to three-set defeats in the second and third.
