Yale Refuses Bid For NCAA Telecast

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Yale has joined Harvard in refusing to joint he NCAA football television program, the Yale Daily News has revealed in a copyrighted article.

Both schools have decided not to participate in the NCAA's nationwide television setup, on the advice of their lawyers. There has been no legal ruling on the present system, but many authorities feel it may be a violation of the anti-trust laws.

Under the NCAA program, the group decides what game shall be televised each Saturday, and only that game is allowed to be televised. By refusing to enter into the program, both Harvard and Yale remain free to have any of their games televised independently of the NCAA.
