Tufts, today's varsity lacrosse opponent, in the defending New England lacrosse champion. Piling up points against B.U., Lowell Textile, and M.I.T. in a strange new scoring system, the Huskies won out, though the Crimson beat them 14 to 4.
So there will be a minor incentive for Bruce Munro's team to put out this afternoon, and the score should be better than 14 to 4.
Ed Curtis, Monk Aiello, and Captain Phil Waring will be at attack. Any of the three midfields could start. They are Jim Telfar, Chuck Edwards, and Skip Baldwin; Todd Goodwin, Fred Horween, and Karl Bjork; and Tim Anderson, Albie Wells, and Dexter Lewis.
Tom Crump, John Hartwell, Fred Scharf, Paul Jones, and Pat Esmiol will share the defense work and Steve Den Hartog will start in the goal.
