The College Yacht Club will open its season this weekend when it competes against seven other teams in the McMillan Cup Regatta at Annapolis, Md.
Led by Captain Jim Nathanson, the eight-man crew will sail one of the Naval Academy yawls in four races over a five-mile course on Chesapeake Bay. The regatta will be scored on a point basis with the cup going to the team that does best in all the races.
The College Club came in second in the regatta last year, trailing only the M.I.T. squad.
Members of the crew in addition to Nathanson are Tim Brown, John Roosevelt, Addison Closson, Nick Baker, Fred Hoppin, Phil Tierney, and J. Carter Brown. Three of the sailors are sophomores.
