Wallet, Jewelry Taken From Radcliffe Dorm

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

A case of valuable jewelry and a wallet containing a key to the dormitory were taken when thieves entered a fourth floor room in Bertram Hall Saturday night. A fur coat in a closet was left untouched.

It is believed the thieves entered the room at about midnight, when Sally J. Mennegan '56, alone of the floor, was frightened by a noise and ran downstairs. On hearing no further sounds, however, she returned at 12:30 a.m., without notifying the housemother. Polly W. Jordan '57, owner of the missing articles, discovered the theft at 1 a.m.

Mrs. Margaret Sangree, head resident of Bertram Hall, said that the lock would probably be changed later in the week.
