Radcliffe's experimental French House will be continued next year if enough girls request it, Miss Emily B. Lacey, Dean of Residence, said yesterday.
Saville, an off-campus house, was set up as a French-speaking dormitory last year in answer to student requests. Residents speak French and eat together at a French table in Bertram Hall.
"It seems to have worked out quite well," Miss Lacey said. "Although the girls don't speak French all the time, it is good to have just as incentive."
The College will provide a French-speaking housemother if the French House is continued.
