Wiggins Takes Office As Acting Comptroller

Lewis G. Wiggins has been appointed as Acting Comptroller of the University while Comptroller Howard N. Smith is "absent on leave," Edward Reynolds '15, Administrative Vice-President, said.

It is believed, however, that Smith had been asked to resign because of a disagreement on policy. A formal statement is expected by the Board of Overseers on March 8.
